Auto Driver Scheme- YSR Vahana Mitra

The administration of Andhra Pradesh has as of late discharged the data with respect to the Auto Driver Scheme Phase 2 in the state. According to the AP Auto Driver Scheme, the taxi driver will get Rs.10000 per annum in the wake of qualifying certain qualifications controlled by the legislature of Andhra Pradesh. YSR Vahana Mitra Third Phase Payment

The YSR Vahana Mitra scheme has been launched in order to provide financial assistance to auto-rickshaws and taxi drivers. The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to release the amount of financial assistance of Rs 10,000 under the third phase of this scheme. On 15th June 2021 amount of Rs 248.47 crore will be transferred into the bank accounts of 248468 beneficiaries. This amount was due for next month but the government has decided to credit this amount one month in advance due to ongoing situations of covid-19. Around 42932 beneficiaries have newly applied for this scheme. The majority of beneficiaries are those people who belong to backward classes and weaker sections.

All those drivers who have their own auto, taxi, and maxi cabs can take the benefit of the YSR Vahana Mitra scheme. Out of the total number of beneficiaries 59692 are SCs, 138372 are BCs, 9910 STs and 40494 are OCs.

YSR Vahana Mitra Phase 2 Installment

As you all know that Rs 10,000 financial assistance is provided to self-owned auto, taxi, cab drivers in order to meet the expenses of repairs, insurance etc. The government has provided Rs 10000 to around 2,363,43 beneficiaries in the first year. Now this year the number of beneficiaries has increased to 2,73,4076. There were many people who have not applied in the first phase this year. So the Government of Andhra Pradesh has extended the deadline to apply for the scheme till 4 July 2020. The government have received 11,501 more applications after the date was extended. On 9th November 2020, the Government of Andhra Pradesh had disbursed Rs 10000 into the bank account of these 11,501 beneficiaries. Till now financial assistance of Rs 510 crore has been given to the beneficiaries.
