TNPDS Smart Ration Card Status 2022

A Ration Card is an important document through which the citizens of a state can buy ration from a fair price shop at government rates. Tamil Nadu state government has started an initiative to issue TNPDS Smart Ration Card. Now, Tamil Nadu Citizens need not to carry the Ration Card at the Ration Depot. The ration card will be available in digital form. The motive of issuing the Smart Card is to prevent fraudulent practices and cut down the printing and distribution cost. Different types of TNPDS Smart Ration Card

Tamil Nadu Public Distribution System i.e. TNPDS is providing four types of digital ration cards to the residents of Tamil Nadu. These four smart cards are:

  1. Light Green Smart Card: for rice and other commodities from the Fair Price Shops.
  2. White Smart Card: or extra 3kg sugar over the prescribed quota.
  3. No commodity Smart Card: for the people who are not entitled to draw any commodity from ration shops.

How to apply online for TNPDS Smart Card

  • Visit the official website of TNPDS i.e. tnpds.gov.in, Click here to direct visit the website
  • On your right hand side, you will see the section Smart Card Application Services.
  • Here, you will see the link Apply New Smart Card.
  • Click the link and Smart Card Application Form will apear on the screen.
  • Now, fill all the details and upload the required documents.
  • Submit the application and your will get your TNPDS Smart Card Number.

  • Visit the official website of TNPDS i.e. tnpds.gov.in
  • On your right hand side, you will see the section Smart Card Application Services.
  • Here, you will see the link Smart Card Application Status.
  • When you will click the link, it will ask you to send a reference number which the TNPDS has sent to your mobile number while registering for smart card online.
  • Enter the reference number and click Submit. you will see your TNPDS Smart Card Status on the screen.

  • Enter the mobile number, captcha and click Submit.
  • After submission, you will see an application form to make changes.
