About Mahadbt Scholarship 2021

The Maharashtra government has come up with a portal through which they provide Mahadbt Scholarship to all of the students of the Maharashtra state who are not able to pay their fee because of its high rate. Also, an online portal has been designed so that the students no longer have to visit the concerned government office to avail the benefit of the different scholarship which are available for them. The main objective of Mahadbt scholarship 2021 is to provide financial assistance to all the meritorious students who are unable to continue their education due to their financial condition. Eligibility Criteria of MahaDBT Scholarship Schemes

The eligibility criteria of various kinds of scholarship that are offered by Mahadbt Scholarship are as follows:-

Social Justice and Special Assistance Department

The department of social justice and special assistance Maharashtra provides this scholarship at the post-matric level. Under this scholarship, various types of assistance are provided to the students in the form of tuition fees, exam fees, education fees, maintenance Allowance etc. You apply for this scholarship scheme through Maha DBT Portal. Before applying you are required to check your eligibility criteria. There are five types of scholarships that are offered by the social justice and special assistance department. You can view the details regarding the eligibility criteria of these scholarships below:-

Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship The annual income should be less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh. The student should belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Navbouddha category. The student must be a resident of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. Only two professional courses are allowed.
Post Matric Tuition Fee and Examination Fee (Freeship) The annual income should not exceed above INR 2.5 Lakh. The student’s category should be Scheduled Caste (SC) or Neo Buddhist. The student should be a resident of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. The student’s institute should be located in Maharashtra recognized by the Government. The students should admit through CAP round only for Professional Courses
Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses The students should be admitted to professional courses. The students should be the scholarship holder of the Government of India. The family annual income should be less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh. The students who are studying in the professional curriculum and residing in Hostel (Government or Institutes Hostel or outside).
Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship The student should belong to the SC category. There is no income limit for the scholarship. Students must be studying in class 11th or 12th. Students should secure 75% and above in class 10th. The student should be a resident of Maharashtra
Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability The students who are disabled are eligible to apply. (40% or above) The students should be residents of Maharashtra. The students should be studying at a recognised university or institute. The scholarship will not be applicable if the candidate fails or quits the same course.

Tribal Development Department

There are four types of scholarships that are offered by the tribal development department under Post Matric Scholarship through the Mahadbt Scholarship. These scholarships can be availed only by the scheduled category students. Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial assistance are provided in the form of tuition fees, examination fees, vocational education fees, maintenance allowance etc. If you want to apply for a tribal development department scholarship then you are required to check your eligibility criteria. Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance The student’s annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should belong to ST category only

Directorate of Technical Education

Usually, technical education is more costly than general education and there are many students who despite being good in academics can not afford to pursue technical education. So the Directorate of Technical Education of Maharashtra offers 2 types of scholarships for those students who are undergoing technical Education like engineering, biotechnology, architecture etc. Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial assistance are offered to the students so that they can continue their education without thinking about the financial burden. The details of eligibility criteria of technical education scholarship scheme are as follows:-

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna The applicant should be an Indian national. They should be a domicile of Maharashtra state. The applicant should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical courses. The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible. The candidates should be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The applicants cannot avail of any other scholarship while applying for this. For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to avail of the benefits of the scheme. The total annual income of the family should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. A minimum of 50 % attendance in the previous semester is required. During the course duration, the candidate should not have had a gap of two or more years
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DTE) The applicant should be an Indian national. They should be a domicile of Maharashtra state. The applicant should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical courses. The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible. The candidates should be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The applicants cannot avail of any other scholarship while applying for this. For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to benefit from the scheme. The total annual income of the family should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. Directorate Of Higher Education

All those students who want to take higher education can take the benefit of a higher education scholarship scheme. Through this scholarship scheme financial assistance is provided to all the students who cannot afford to pursue their higher education due to financial issues. There are 13 types of scholarships that are offered by the directorate of higher education for the students of Maharashtra. It has to be noted that only the domicile of Maharashtra can take benefit of this scholarship scheme. The details of eligibility criteria of the directorate of higher education scholarship scheme are as follows:-

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Scheme The applicant should be a domicile of Maharashtra They should belong to Maharashtra State Border or Karnataka State Border to apply for the scholarship. The family annual income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The candidates belonging to the general category and who have taken admission are eligible to apply. The applicant should not avail of any other scholarship or stipend. The courses which students have enrolled in should be approved by the government or AICTE. The students should not have had a 2-year gap during their course. The students must have given all semester examinations.
Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Junior Level The students from class 11th & 12th class are eligible to apply. The students should have a DHE sanctioned letter. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.
Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen The applicant’s son/daughter/wife/widow of ex-servicemen are eligible. The students should be enrolled in government-aided colleges only. The Maharashtrian Students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
Eklavya Scholarship The students must have graduated in degree courses of Law, Commerce & Arts with at least 60% marks and in Science with at least 70% marks. The annual income of the applicant’s parents should not exceed INR 75000. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra state. The beneficiary should not do a part-time or full-time job. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
State Government Open Merit Scholarship The applicant must be a resident of the Maharashtra state. The applicant should have secured at least 60% marks in class 12th. This scholarship is for students who have enrolled for Arts, Commerce, Science and Law courses. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics/Physics The students should secure at least 60% in Science exam and more than 60% in Maths & Physics in Class 12th. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme. The applicant must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
Government Vidyaniketan Scholarship The student should secure 60% marks in the class 10th examination. The student should have passed the class 10th exam from the State Government Vidyanikethan only. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme. The applicant must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
State Government Daxshina Adhichatra Scholarship The applicant must be a graduate student from non-agriculture University only. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme. The applicant must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
Government Research Adichatra The applicant must be a post-graduate degree holder. The applicant must be a resident of the Maharashtra State. The applicant should have secured 60% marks in post-graduation. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
Education Concession to the Children Freedom Fighter The applicants who are son/daughter/wife/widow of freedom fighters are eligible. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme The students should be domicile of Maharashtra.
Jawaharlal Nehru University Scholarship The Maharashtrian students who have studied in JNU. The UG and PG JNU students are applicable to the scheme. They should be a domicile of Maharashtra.
Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Senior Level The students from class 11th & 12th are eligible to apply. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.
Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DHE) The applicant should be a domicile of Maharashtra. For professional courses, the applicants who are children of registered labour or Alpabhudarak or both are eligible. The annual income of the family/ guardian should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The applicants should not avail any other Nirvah Bhatta benefits. The applicant should attempt every semester or annual exam.

OBC, SEBC, VJNT & SBC Welfare Department

Under this scholarship scheme financial assistance is provided to all the students who belong to OBC, VJNT, SEBC and SBC category. Only those students who belong to the above-mentioned categories can apply for this scholarship scheme. Those students who are pursuing courses approved by the government can take benefit of this scholarship. Before applying for this scholarship applicants are advised to check their eligibility criteria. The details of eligibility criteria of OBC, SEBC, VJNT & SBC welfare department Scholarship scheme is as follows:-

Post-Matric Scholarship for VJNT Students The applicant should belong to VJNT, OBC, and SBC category. The applicants must be pursuing the education course approved by the government. The annual family income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicant should apply for the scholarship via the CAP system. The applicant should achieve 75% attendance for the current year.
Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT Students The applicant should belong to the VJNT category. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra state. The annual family income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The students enrolled in degree courses in Health Science etc. are eligible to apply. The freeship will be applicable to students enrolled in unaided or aided government colleges in technical education. The students who are enrolled in courses such as Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries are also eligible to apply.
Payment of Maintenance Allowance to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional Colleges The applicant should belong to the VJNT and SBC category. The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicant should be admitted to the hostels in professional colleges. The applicant is not eligible if he or she takes admission in a government hostel. The students who are enrolled in professional courses such as Engineering, Medical, Veterinary, Architecture etc.
Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship for Students Studying in 11th & 12thStandard of VJNT & SBC Category The applicants should belong to Vimukta Jatis, Nomadic Tribes, and Special Backward Classes. The applicant must be studying in class 11th and 12th in junior colleges. There is no family annual income limit. The students should not have a study gap to avail of this scholarship. The applicants must be residents of Maharashtra.
Post Matric Scholarship to OBC Students The applicant should belong to the OBC category. The applicants must be pursuing education courses approved by the government. The application should come via CAP round for professional courses. The applicants need 75% attendance for the current year.
Post Matric Scholarship to SBC Students The parent’s annual income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicants must belong to the SBC category. The applicants should be residents of Maharashtra. The applicants must be pursuing the education courses approved by the government.
Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to OBC Students The applicant must be pursuing post-matric education from government-approved colleges. They must belong to the OBC category. The applicants must be residents of Maharashtra. The students pursuing degree courses in Health Science related courses are eligible to apply. The students pursuing higher and technical education from aided or unaided government colleges are also eligible. The applicants who are pursuing courses in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fishery etc. are also eligible to apply.
Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to SBC Students The applicants must belong to the SBC category. The annual family income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The applicants must be pursuing education courses approved by the government. The applicant must be a domicile of Maharashtra State.

Directorate of Medical Education and Research

Those students who are pursuing their education in medical and research departments can avail the benefit of the scholarship schemes that are offered by the directorate of Medical Education and research. Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial incentives are offered to be students so that they can finance their education. There are two types of scholarships that are provided under the Directorate of Medical Education and research which are the Rajarshiri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj fee reimbursement scheme and the DR Panjabrao Deshmukh hostel maintenance allowance. The details of eligibility criteria of these scholarship offered by the Directorate of Medical Education and research are as follows:-;-

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Fee Reimbursement Scheme For MBBS/BDS and other courses, candidates whose family annual income does not exceed INR 8 Lakh.
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance The student’s family annual income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The student’s parents should be registered laborers. The students who have taken admission in hostels in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, and Nagpur are eligible. The students should have taken admission to degrees such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, etc in government-aided colleges.

School Education and Sports Department

In order to enable and motivate the students to continue their education. The school education and sports department offer two types of scholarship which are open merit scholarship in junior College and merit scholarship for economically backward class students. All the students who are eligible to apply under these scholarship schemes are required to visit the Maha DBT portal. Students are advised to go through the eligibility procedure before applying for these scholarship schemes. The eligibility criteria to apply for school education and sports department scholarships are as follows:-

Open Merit Scholarships in Junior College The applicants should be of class 11th or 12th. The applicants must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in SSC examination.
Merit Scholarship for Economically Backward Class Students The applicants must have secured 50% marks in SSC examination. The students should have cleared their exam in one attempt.

Minority Development Department

The minority development department scholarships are offered to those students who belong to the minority community. Under this scholarship scheme, 3 types of scholarship are provided to minority students which are state minority Scholarship part II (DHE), Scholarship for students of minority community pursuing higher and professional courses (DTE) and scholarship for students of minority communities pursuing higher and professional courses (DMER). Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial incentives are provided to the students. Before applying for this scholarship scheme the students are advised to check the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria of minority development department scholarship schemes are as follows:-

State Minority Scholarship Part II (DHE) Graduates and post-graduates from Arts/Commerce/Science/Law/Education courses are eligible to apply. They should be a domicile of Maharashtra. The family annual income should be up to INR 8 Lakh. 2000 applicants will be provided quota (fresher’s) under this scheme. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
Scholarship for Students of Minority Communities Pursuing Higher and Professional Courses (DTE) The applicant should be an Indian national. The candidate should be domicile of Maharashtra state. The candidates should have passed SSC from Maharashtra state. The applicant should be “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted to Professional and Technical courses (diploma/graduation/ post-graduation degree). The candidate should be admitted through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) / Institute Level. The applicant should not avail any other scholarship/stipend. The total annual income of family should not be more than INR 8 Lakh.
Scholarship for Students of Minority Communities Pursuing Higher and Professional Courses (DMER) Students enrolled in medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, etc and courses should be affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik. The student’s family annual income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. 30% scholarship is reserved for female applicants and 70% for the male applicants. The applicant should be a domicile of Maharashtra.

Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department

There is only one scholarship that is provided by the skill development, employment and Entrepreneurship department which is vocational training fee reimbursement for the student belonging to socially and educationally backward class and open category students. Under this scholarship scheme students who are admitted in Government ITIs and private ITIs through the Central admission process will be provided with fee reimbursement benefit if they qualify the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria of this scholarship scheme is as follows:-

Vocational training fee reimbursement for the student belonging to socially and educationally backward class and open category students For those students whose family income is less than Rs 250000, their 100% fees will be reimbursed. For those students whose family income is above Rs 250000 in less than Rs 8 lakh, 80% of the institute course fees will be reimbursed. Under this scholarship scheme, only those students can get the benefit who have taken admission through the PPP scheme in government industrial training institute or private industrial training institute and admitted through the Central online admission procedure. To take the benefit of this scheme the student must belong to the open category and economically weaker section. Orphan candidates are required to submit recommendation letters. The candidate must not have taken any benefit previously from government or private ITI. The candidate must be a domicile of Maharashtra. Only two children of a family can take benefit of this scheme.

Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri

Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth scholarships are provided to those students who are children of farmers who belong to economically backward class and are admitted to diploma/ degree/ post graduate/ professional course through centralised admission procedure. Under this scholarship scheme various kinds of financial incentives are provided in the form of reimbursement of tuition fees, examination fees etc. There are two type of scholarship scheme that are offered by Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri which are rajashree Chhatrapati shahu Maharaj Shiksha shulk shishyavrutti Yojana and Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh nirvah Bhatta Yojana. Students are advised to check eligibility criteria before applying which is mentioned below:-

The candidate must not have a gap of two or more two years during the course duration. The applicant must be a national of India and domicile of Maharashtra. Candidates must be Bonafide students of the Institute and admitted for professional and non-professional and technical courses. Deemed universities and private universities are not applicable. Directorate of Art

The directorate of art scholarship is offered to those students who have taken admission in courses that come under the directorate of art category. Under this scholarship scheme, there is two type of scholarships that are offered to the students which are Rajashree Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shiksha Shulk Shishyavrutti Yojana and Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Nirvah Bhatta Yojana. Various kinds of financial incentives are provided under this scholarship scheme. Before applying for this scholarship scheme students are advised to check the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for the directorate of art scholarship scheme are as follows:-

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Fee Reimbursement Scheme Students must be a domicile of Maharashtra or must belong to Maharashtra state and Karnataka state border. The annual family income of the student should be less than Rs 8 lakh. Only two children of a family can apply for this scholarship scheme. General category students can also avail the benefit of this scholarship scheme. Those students who are an availing benefit of any other scholarship scheme cannot avail the benefit of this scholarship scheme. Those students who have taken admission in distance learning, virtual learning and part-time courses can not apply under this scholarship scheme. The candidate should not have a gap of 2 years.
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance The candidate must be domicile of Maharashtra. For professional courses the applicant should be the child of registered labourer, Alpabhudarak or both. The total family income of the applicant should not be more than Rs 8 lakh. Only the first two children of a family are eligible for this scheme. General category candidates are eligible for this scheme. The applicant must be a hosteller, a paying guest or a tenant. The applicant must not be getting benefit of any other scholarship scheme. The candidate should not have a gap of 2 years

MAFSU Nagpur

MAFSU Nagpur scholarship is provided to those students who belong to the economically weaker section of society. This scholarship is funded by the Maharashtra animal and fishery science University. There are two type of scholarships that are provided under this scholarship scheme. Under this scholarship scheme various kinds of financial incentive will be provided to the students who are admitted to diploma/ degree/ postgraduate/ professional courses through Central admission procedure. If you want to avail the benefit of this scholarship scheme then you are required to go through the eligibility criteria very carefully. The eligibility criteria of this scholarship scheme is as follows:-

The annual family income of the student should not exceed Rs 800000 the candidate must have secured at least 50% attendance in the previous semester. The candidate must not have a gap of two or more two years during course duration
